Yetland Farm Cottages
Yetland Farm is home to six self-catering cottages ideally located for exploring North Devon and the Exmoor National Park. The well-equipped child and pet friendly cottages are situated just a mile from the pretty coastal town of Combe Martin and less than a 15 minute drive from the golden sands of Woolacombe beach.
Onsite at Yetland Farm there is plenty to keep everyone entertained no matter what your age or the season you visit. As the daffodils come to life in the hedgerows and along the country lanes, Yetland welcomes the new-born lambs, which guests can help bottle-feed when needed and watch as they merrily jump around the fields. There are also pigs, chickens and other wildlife roaming the 18 acres the cottages are set within.
For indoor fun at Yetland Farm there are two games rooms featuring a pool table, table tennis and table football. In the summer when the weather turns warm and sunny try your hand at a game of tennis on the half-sized hard surface tennis court, or enjoy a picnic in the children's playing field where the little ones can enjoy the climbing frame, slide and swings. There are even goal posts set up for a football match.
Yetland Farm is wonderfully situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which almost guarantees complete peace and tranquillity. The six cottages are all formed from the 18th Century farm buildings and have been beautifully transformed with exposed beams and sloping ceilings adding to their charm and character.
The cottages on site include April, a pretty three bedroom holiday home sleeping up to six. May and January, a pair of two bedroom cottages open all year round for short breaks and longer North Devon holidays. September, a cosy cottage for two, June, a two bedroom cottage accommodating up to five, and finally March, a two bedroom cottage.
All the cottages are tastefully decorated and equipped to a high standard with traditional country kitchens, spacious living rooms and pretty bedrooms with plenty of storage. Each cottage is also pet friendly with any number of dogs welcome at any time of the year.
Yetland Farm enjoys a lovely rural setting, but is only a few minutes' drive from the seaside town of Combe Martin, which has its own family friendly beach and good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The town is also ideally located for those seeking to walk the South West Coast Path, which runs directly through the village.
Head west from Combe Martin to enjoy the wonders of the Victorian town of Ilfracombe with its beautiful harbour and quaint tea rooms, or explore east to discover the delights of the Exmoor National Park, Lynton and Lynmouth and Heddon's Mouth.
Within a 20 minute drive of Yetland Farm the golden beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton await. Perfect for families and water sport enthusiasts, these award-winning beaches offer a range of activities to suit all abilities from surfing lessons to sand castle competitions. Smaller more secluded beaches can also be found along the coastline and offer excellent alternatives during the busy summer months. Lee Bay, Rockham and Barricane are just a few that are guaranteed to please.
North Devon is the ideal location for enjoying a short break or longer holiday. From historic National Trust estates like Arlington Court to fun filled attractions like the Big Sheep there are plenty of places to visit to suit all ages. There are also lots of activities easily available. Cycle the Tarka Trail, ride a horse along a beach or relax with a spot of fishing. All these wonderful things can be achieved when staying at Yetland Farm Cottages.
